My Lucky Number

When I was a little girl, when someone would say to me, "ok, pick a number". I would always pick the number 5. I thought in my head, "5 is a good number, cuz we have 5 people in our family." Ever since then, that has been my lucky number and it means a lot to me.

I started thinking more about the number five. Like my favorite part of the song, "A Partridge in a Pear Tree". I've always loved it when it broke into the words, "FIVE GOLDEN RINGS!" It was the best one of all those gifts that that lover gave to his love. Wouldn't you agree?

The Law of Fives states simply that: All things happen in Fives, or are divisible by or are multiples of Five, or are somehow directly or indirectly appropriate to 5.

A star has 5 points on it. I love stars.

There are FIVE senses, FIVE vowels, FIVE oceans, FIVE elements (fire, air, water, earth, spirit).

There are FIVE love languages in which I need all FIVE of those from my husband, and he does very well at giving them. :)

So, you see, FIVE is a pretty great number, right? It just makes sense. In my family we had FIVE family members growing up. And in my very own little growing family, ...

We are expecting child NUMBER FIVE in November!

Yep, you heard me right. Can you believe this, my friends? Happy surprise to us!!! And if it's another boy then a complete basketball team we will have, won't we? The boys are ecstatic and I am so happy they get the chance to have another little (brother?...I can only assume according to past trends...) to take care of and love. And, although the thought is a little overwhelming, I am so happy to get the chance to do this one more time. There is no doubt that this was meant to be. No doubt, I promise you.

Hooray for NUMBER FIVE! And as good friend has said, "Just embrace the chaos!" You bet we will.

Happy Anniversary to US!

Thirteen years now, since we have tied the knot for eternity. And no better way than to have celebrated in Hawaii! We laughed a lot, we were free to do what we wanted, and when. We looked at beautiful views, and we took it all in. I tried really hard to be in the moment wherever were went. How fast time flies and how much more we have to accomplish together. I love you, Eric.
